Temple Beth Sholom - Youth Director
Location: Miami Beach, FL 33140
Temple Beth Sholom is a vibrant, inclusive Jewish congregation in Miami Beach of approximately 1100 families affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism.
The Youth Program Coordinator and Educator at Temple Beth Sholom will serve as part of the Youth Engagement team and will work closely with our Director of the School for Living Judaism, clergy and staff to create engaging, exciting and high-level informal experiences for grades K-12. Focused on building community and meaningful relationships in the congregation, they will engage children, teens and families in programming such as youth group, social events, trips, Madrichim support (teens as assistant teachers), regional and national NFTY events, Shabbat dinners, social justice work and retreats. They will serve as a camp contact, integrating camp approaches into their programming and bringing the children of the congregation to camp with them each summer.
During the summer, we highly encourage the Youth Director to work at a URJ camp- either our regional Camp Coleman or a specialty camp of their choosing. This is negotiable.
